Meet Matt Browne

Matt Browne

Matthew (Matt) Browne is a dedicated and passionate lawyer assisting clients throughout Alberta and British Columbia. He has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia as well as the Provincial and Court of King’s Bench of Alberta. 

Prior to law school, Matt obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta. After graduating, Matt worked as an engineer throughout North America and Southeast Asia. Matt’s engineering background is of great assistance when dealing with complex forensic issues.

Matt received his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where focused on criminal law and advocacy. During law school, Matt was a member of Osgoode’s International Criminal Court Moot team. He volunteered with Fair Change Community Service; an organization that helps street involved people address provincial offence tickets. He also completed summer work terms for Animal Justice and the Department of Justice. 

Matt completed his articles in Victoria, British Columbia. After articling, Matt worked as an associate with several prominent criminal defence lawyers. Matt has assisted clients charged with violent offences, drug offences, firearm offences, property offences, driving offences, and administration of justice offences.
